Beginning in February, Johnson County Hospital will host bimonthly educational programs to promote health in wellness in our communities, sponsored in part by the Southeast District Health Department.
“We want to improve the lives of not only the patients that we serve, but all of our community members in rural southeast Nebraska,” said Mary Bossung, Foundation Director.
Programs will be 30 minutes to an hour in length and are free and open to the public. Topics in 2012 will include Organ and Tissue Donation, Stroke vs. Heart Attack, Heart Healthy Cooking, Early Signs of Alzheimer’s, Staying Active Indoors and Estate Planning.
The first program will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, in the conference room at Johnson County Hospital, with the Nebraska Organ Recovery System speaking on organ and tissue donation.
