  • Accountant

    Johnson County Hospital is seeking an accountant for our critical access hospital. This person would direct and monitor all hospital financial department activities and keep the hospital CEO and Board of Trustees informed of all hospital finances. Responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements including balance sheets, profit, loss and subsidiary statements. Would also review and analyze general ledger account balances, verify accuracy and make recommendations for corrections. Be responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations and balance sheets. Bachelor's degree in accounting required, thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and two years’ experience in hospital finance preferred. Tecumseh is located in southeast Nebraska, County Seat of Johnson County. There are approximately 5,000 residents in Johnson County. It is approximately 45 minutes from Lincoln and about an hour from Omaha.
